Zack Calhoon as Bottom!

We’re knee deep into Midsummer now! So we’d like to introduce to our cast and crew. Stay tuned for a new post each day featuring one of our talented actors/design team. Here’s Zack Calhoon here to kick it off!

Zack Calhoon- Zack graduated from NYU’sTisch School of the Arts with BFA in Acting. Acting credits: Sgt. Woodward in the critically acclaimed “In Fields Where They Lay” (nominated for 2010 ITBA Award for Outstanding Off Off Broadway Show); Ivan in “The Commission”, Lee in “True West”, Hamlet in “Hamlet”, Jamie in “The Credeaux Canvas”, Antonio in The “Merchant of Venice”, Banquo in “Macbeth” (Dreamscape Theatre); Joe in “Jacob’s House” (Flux Theatre Ensemble)”; Edgar in “King Lear” (ShakespeareNYC); Variation in the World Premiere production of “Giant-N-Variation”, Dex in the U.S. premiere of Irvine Welsh’s (author of “Trainspotting”) play, “You’ll Have Had Your Hole”; Prince Hal in “Henry IV Part 1”, Edmund in “King Lear” (Boomerang Theater Company); Lady Anne in “Richard III” (Judith Shakespeare Co.); The Player in “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead”, Sebastian in “Twelfth Night” (Milk Can Theatre Co.); and Chiron in “Titus Andronicus” (Expanded Arts); Romeo in “Romeo & Juliet”, Proteus in “The Two Gentlemen of Verona”, Demetrius in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, Nym in “The Merry Wives of Windsor”, Hubert in “King John”, Borachio in “Much Ado About Nothing” (Actors Shakespeare Co). Playwriting credits: “The Weird Sisters” (East 3rd Productions), “Breaking Ranks” (New Mummer Group), “Marlowe, P.I.” (Dreamscape), “Violence in the Air”, “Paint”, “Enough” (which was recently made into a short independent film), “Dream House”, and “Krueger”. His plays have been performed and developed at Boomerang Theatre Company, Dreamscape Theatre, East 3rdProductions, Flux Theatre Ensemble, Living Image Arts, New Mummer Group, Oberon Theatre Ensemble, and On the Square Productions. He was the 2008 East 3rd Productions Playwright-in-Residence, and is a founding member of the Dreamscape Theatre. He would like to thank Jackie, Rachel, Michael, his mother, and his wife Susan.
